Job Title: Accountant

Location: Anthony, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

• We are hiring on behalf of a fast-growing supermarket in Anthony, Lagos, looking for a smart, detail-oriented Accountant who can take ownership of financial records, improve controls, and support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial records (sales, expenses, payables & receivables)
• Reconcile daily sales (cash, POS, transfers) and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations
• Work closely with inventory to track stock and reduce losses
• Support payroll processing and statutory remittances (PAYE, pension, etc.)
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis
• Strengthen internal controls and support audits

Requirements

• HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 2 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of payroll experience
• Good knowledge of Excel and accounting tools
• High attention to detail and integrity
• Professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) are a plus.
