About the Role
- As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.
- The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
- This role goes beyond traditional accounting functions and requires a proactive professional capable of handling a wide range of financial responsibilities within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments
- Handle tax planning, filing, and compliance with all statutory obligations
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits when required
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Develop and implement financial controls and accounting policies
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Analyze operational costs (fuel, maintenance, fleet expenses) and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ICAN) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Salary range
N250,000 - N350,000 / Month.
