Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job Summary
- We are an assets management company looking to hire a Procurement Officer. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply of goods and services required for the effective operation of the company.
- The role ensures cost efficiency, quality assurance, compliance with company policies, and supports overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals
- Source and evaluate vendors/suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies
- Maintain and update supplier database and procurement records
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of office and operational assets
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
- Liaise with internal departments to understand procurement needs
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Resolve vendor-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies
- Prepare procurement reports and analyze spending patterns
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain (preferably in financial services or asset management)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and procurement software/ERP systems
- Good understanding of financial principles and budgeting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
