We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Merchant, Acquisition - Eco Coin

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants across key segments (retail, QSR, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.)
• Present and pitch the Eco Coin value proposition (cashback, rewards, digital payments, customer acquisition)
• Manage end-to-end onboarding, including KYC, documentation, and platform setup
• Ensure merchant activation by driving first transactions within the defined turnaround time (TAT)
• Conduct daily field visits and maintain a strong acquisition pipeline
• Train merchants on the use of Eco Coin platforms (POS, mobile app, dashboard)
• Collaborate with internal operations and tech teams to ensure smooth onboarding
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform strategy

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Monthly merchant acquisition targets
• Merchant activation rate
• First transaction turnaround time (TAT)
• Merchant retention (30/60/90 days)
• Daily field productivity

Requirements

• 3–5 years experience in fintech, payments, telecom, or FMCG sales
• Strong knowledge of the local market and merchant landscape
• Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working in a field sales environment
• Ability to meet and exceed acquisition targets
