Gbenga Badejo and Co - Our client in the Engineering and Construction Sector based in Ikeja, Lagos is  recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• That will manage the accounts and accounts processes of the organization
• Carry out account’s reconciliation.
• Provide support for the management to raise and manage funds for project execution.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity for effective project execution.
• Ensure accuracy of records and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Develop and manage annual budgeting and compliance.
• Ensure proper records are kept for a financial transaction.
• Maintain internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial guidance to the management for informed decision-making.

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related courses from a reputable educational institution
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (at least 3 years in consulting firm)
• Strong leadership and commercial acumen
• Excellent planning and highly organized.
• A self-starter, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITHOUT SUPERVISION.
• Proficient in MS Word Office applications – Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Good understanding and experience with systems of control.
• Strong and analytical skills include the ability to spot, assess and address risk, materiality and interdependencies and translate it into impact analysis for financial reporting and recommendations for improvement.
• Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant.
