Job Title: Dental Technologist

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Dental Laboratory Technologist is responsible for the design, fabrication, and repair of a wide range of dental prostheses and orthodontic appliances.
• The role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to interpret clinical prescriptions to produce high-quality, functional, and aesthetic dental restorations.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate dental restorations including full gold crowns, metal crowns, and porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crowns.
• Construct complete and partial dentures using both heat-cured and cold-cured (self-cure) techniques.
• Design and fabricate crown and bridge prostheses in line with prescribed specifications.
• Produce orthodontic appliances and bite registration devices.
• Examine patient casts and impressions to determine appropriate appliance design and fabrication approach.
• Interpret and evaluate dentist prescriptions to determine the most suitable materials and techniques for each case.
• Ensure all dental appliances meet required functional, aesthetic, and quality standards before delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of cases, materials used, and timelines.
• Adhere to infection control, health, and safety standards within the laboratory environment.
• Perform repairs and adjustments to existing dental appliances as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Dental Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in a dental laboratory setting.
• Proven hands-on experience in crown and bridge work, denture fabrication, and orthodontic appliances.
• Familiarity with both traditional and modern dental laboratory techniques (including digital workflows is an advantage).
