Job Description

  • Drive the acquisition and expansion of high-value enterprise clients across Sub-Saharan Africa by positioning the company"s Treasury & Trade Operating System as a critical financial infrastructure supporting treasury operations, payments, liquidity management, FX, and trade activities.
  • The role focuses on securing key enterprise clients with significant transaction volumes, establishing them as core contributors to the company’s financial network.
  • Success in this position is defined by embedding the company as the preferred treasury infrastructure partner for large corporations within the Energy (Oil & Gas) sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise growth by identifying, engaging, and closing high-value clients within the Energy (Oil & Gas) sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, including CFOs, Group Treasurers, Heads of Finance, and Treasury Operations Leaders.
  • Lead strategic sales engagements, positioning Multigate’s solutions across:
    • Treasury & Liquidity Management
    • Receivables Automation
    • Multi-Bank Connectivity
    • Supply Chain Finance
    • Trade Finance
    • FX & Cross-Border Payments
  • Structure and negotiate complex, high-value deals, including multi-year enterprise agreements, platform licensing, and large-scale onboarding initiatives.

Requirements
Required Experience (Mandatory - Do not apply if not met):

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in enterprise sales within the Energy sector (Oil & Gas).
  • Proven experience working with:
    • Upstream, midstream, or downstream oil & gas companies
    • Energy trading firms or large energy corporates
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Commodity flows
    • Cross-border trade in oil & gas
    • Treasury and FX challenges specific to the energy sector
  • Existing relationships with finance leaders in oil & gas companies is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of closing high-value enterprise deals ($250K+ ACV) within the energy sector.
  • NB: Candidates without Oil & Gas / Energy sector experience will not be considered.

Key Competencies:

  • Enterprise Sales Expertise: Strong experience in consultative sales within complex environments, including treasury operations, multi-bank structures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Financial & Industry Acumen: Solid understanding of treasury and liquidity management, cross-border payments, FX markets, and trade finance, with relevance to the energy sector.
  • Executive Influence: Proven ability to engage, negotiate, and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Established network and ability to connect with senior finance leaders across the energy industry.
  • Pipeline Management: Disciplined approach to forecasting, opportunity management, and revenue delivery.
  • Commercial Communication: Ability to articulate value propositions clearly and translate complex solutions into tangible business outcomes.
