Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests that support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
- The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality laboratory services while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other body samples
- Analyze and interpret test results accurately
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards
- Record and report findings to physicians and relevant stakeholders
- Maintain proper documentation of all laboratory activities
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs
- Supervise laboratory assistants and trainees when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field with 1-4 years experience.
- Valid practicing license/certification (as required by local regulations)
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting is an advantage
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and infection control
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment and technology
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
- May involve shift work, including weekends and holidays
- Exposure to biological samples and chemicals (with safety precautions)
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / Month
