Job Title: Head of Engineering

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Head of Engineering to lead and manage all engineering and maintenance activities within our production facility.
• The ideal candidate will ensure optimal machine performance, minimal downtime, strict compliance with safety standards, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Drive machine efficiency and reduce downtime to the barest minimum.
• Supervise installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Manage engineering budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Prepare engineering reports and performance metrics for management review.
• Train and mentor engineering staff for improved performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Warehouse teams to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 8–10 years engineering experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of production machinery, utilities, and maintenance systems.
• Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and reporting tools.
