Sunplast is a leading plastic manufacturing company in Nigeria with almost 30 years experience in the plastic manufacturing industry. Sun Group entered into the Plastics industry through the acquisition of a plant in Sango Ota, Ogun State in 1991. A second plant was installed and commissioned in 2000 in Lagos. In 2015 both plants were merged under one roof in Ogun State. The plants, which operate under the names Bright Products Limited and Sunplast Industries Limited, are equipped with top-of-the-line injection molding machines from China, India and Taiwan.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Role Profiler

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Role Profiler (Lathe Machine) will be responsible for operating and profiling components using lathe machines to meet production specifications.
  • The role requires strong technical expertise, precision, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings to ensure high-quality output in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines for profiling and machining tasks
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Perform precision cutting, shaping, and finishing of materials
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality standards
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • SSCE / OND or Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5–8 years hands-on experience operating lathe machines
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in lathe machine operation and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
