About the Role
- We are hiring skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Electrical & Electronics Systems Technicians to join our luxury transport operations team on the Lagos Mainland.
- The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience managing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in luxury buses, along with solid workshop experience.
- This role is critical to ensuring optimal fleet performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic faults in luxury buses and high-end vehicles.
- Diagnose and resolve ECU (Engine Control Unit) related issues, including:
- Engine control systems
- Transmission control systems
- Other electronically controlled vehicle subsystems
- Perform battery system testing, charging system checks, and power distribution diagnostics.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent electrical tampering or unauthorized modifications.
- Maintain and repair interior and exterior lighting systems (mandatory expertise).
- Work on advanced onboard systems such as GPS tracking, infotainment, CCTV, and telematics.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and use diagnostic tools effectively.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians on integrated system issues.
- Maintain accurate service and workshop records.
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in automotive electrical/electronics systems.
- Proven experience with luxury buses or high-end commercial vehicles.
- Strong workshop and diagnostic experience.
- Mandatory experience in lighting systems (interior & exterior).
- Strong understanding of ECU (Engine Control Unit) systems (engine & transmission).
- Basic understanding of CAN Bus (Controller Area Network) systems.
- Experience in battery system testing and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to detect and prevent electrical tampering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Relevant certification (City & Guilds, NABTEB, or equivalent).
