We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Marketing and Sales Manager

Location: Katsina
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Marketing and Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and sales plans to drive growth and profitability in the agricultural, dairy, flour, and feed mill segments.
  • The role requires strong FMCG experience to position products competitively, expand market share, manage distribution channels, and build lasting relationships with customers while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets for flour, feed, and dairy products.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, customer segments, and distribution networks.
  • Manage key accounts including distributors, wholesalers, supermarkets, bakeries, cooperatives, and institutional buyers.
  • Establish and monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide market insights to management.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Marketing Management:

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns to strengthen brand visibility and product positioning in the FMCG market.
  • Conduct market research to monitor consumer trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee product development, packaging, and promotions tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage digital marketing,exhibitions, and promotional events to increase brand awareness.
  • Develop pricing strategies to balance competitiveness with profitability.

Strategic & Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with finance to set sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Partner with R&D and quality teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years’ progressive experience in Sales and Marketing, with at least 5 years in the FMCG sector (preferably food, agriculture, or related industries).
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth, market expansion, and brand development.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG distribution channels, retail dynamics, and B2B sales.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/ERP systems.
