Job Title: Drill Rig Technician
Location: Obajana, Kogi

Job Summary
- The Drill Rig Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting drilling equipment used in mining, construction, oil & gas, or geotechnical projects.
- The role ensures safe, efficient, and accurate drilling operations in line with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate drill rigs and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment
- Inspect machinery before and after use to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor drilling parameters (depth, pressure, speed) and adjust as required
- Interpret drilling plans, technical drawings, and site specifications
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Record drilling data and maintain accurate logs and reports
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues
- Coordinate with site engineers, geologists, and supervisors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of OND/HND/Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience operating drill rigs (industry-specific experience preferred: mining, construction, oil & gas, etc.)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
- Willingness to work in remote locations and on rotational shifts

Salary
N500,000 per month.
