We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and within quality standards.
• They act as the link between management and production staff, coordinating workflows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity.

Responsibilities
Production Management:

• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines.
• Allocate tasks and assign shifts to operators and technicians.
• Monitor workflow and ensure smooth, efficient production processes.
• Ensure machines, tools, and raw materials are available for uninterrupted operations.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to address defects and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain records of production quality checks and audits.

Staff Supervision and Training:

• Supervise production teams, providing guidance and motivation to meet performance standards.
• Conduct training sessions on safety, quality, and process improvements.
• Monitor employee performance and address performance issues.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
• Investigate and report accidents or near-miss incidents promptly.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Maintain accurate records of production volume, downtime, and workforce utilization.
• Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate maintenance needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, or Microbiology.
• 3 - 6years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision (FMCG preferred).
• Strong understanding of production workflows, machinery, and quality standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
