The idea of GingerUp and GingerShot metamorphosed from a kitchen experiment in the process of finding a nutritional and healthy drink for an upwardly mobile family in Lagos while trying to avoid carbonated drinks. We believe in promoting hygienically processed natural drinks that produce preventative antibodies and can boost the immune system against bacteria and viral infections. Our business promotes the activities of local farmers in ginger, honey, turmeric, lemon and lime.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos

About the Role

  • We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand market presence, open new channels, and drive revenue growth for our ginger-based beverage products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies
  • Secure new distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to achieve revenue targets
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations, and periodic reports
  • Represent the company at trade events and exhibitions.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in business development or sales (FMCG preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Good knowledge of Lagos markets and distribution networks
  • Ability to work independently and strategically.
