Job Title: Plantation Projects Lead (Agro-Industrial Projects)

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Level: Manager / Senior Manager
Reports To: Group Head, PMO

Job Summary

  • The Plantation Projects Lead will drive the development and execution of large-scale plantation projects across multiple crops (cocoa, soya, maize, cashew).
  • The role focuses on project delivery, operational readiness, and commercial viability, ensuring projects transition successfully into full operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end plantation project delivery from setup to operations
  • Oversee land preparation, planting, nursery development, and early yield stages
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to meet timelines, cost, and quality targets
  • Ensure adoption of good agricultural practices and scalable plantation models
  • Support business cases, funding processes, and track project economics
  • Engage with government, partners, and communities on land and partnerships
  • Evaluate irrigation, mechanisation, and farm technologies
  • Develop SOPs, staffing plans, and support transition into operations
  • Monitor performance, manage risks, and report progress to management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, or related fields
  • 8–12+ years’ experience in plantation or agro-industrial projects
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Good understanding of plantation economics and operations
  • Hands-on, execution-focused approach.
