Gombe State University (GSU), founded in 2004, is a public institution offering over 60 undergraduate and 97 postgraduate programnes across multiple faculties, including the College of Medical Sciences. The University is dedicated to academic excellence, innovative research, and community service.

Recently, GSU established a Faculty of Agriculture in collaboration with Michigan State University, USA. Bult on the Land-grant University Philosophy, this faculty aspires to be a Centre of Excellence in climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness, and agricultural technology, driving agricultural development in Gombe State and beyond.
