About the Role

• We are seeking for skilled and experienced Central Mill Fitter to join our rolling mill operations.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing central mill equipment to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on central mill equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely breakdown repairs
• Install, align, and maintain mill components to specification
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company procedures
• Liaise with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Proven experience working on central mills or similar heavy industrial equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulics
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to breakdowns when required.
