Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and motivated Roughing Mill Fitter to join our operations team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of roughing mill equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on roughing mill equipment
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out breakdown repairs promptly
• Install, align, and maintain mill components to required tolerances
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and company procedures
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Proven experience working on roughing mills or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, bearings, and gearboxes
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
