An Internet Service Provider (ISP) company based in Lagos Mainland, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Backend / NOC Engineer

Description

• We are looking to hire a Backend / NOC Engineer to support our core network operations and backend infrastructure.
• The ideal candidate should have solid technical experience in ISP or telecom environments and be capable of handling network operations, backend systems, and service reliability.
• Candidates who can resume immediately will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain core network infrastructure and backend systems.
• Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure service uptime.
• Deploy and manage backend services such as DNS, DHCP, and CGNAT.
• Automate routine tasks using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Work with virtualization and cloud platforms where required.
• Implement security best practices and support compliance requirements.
• Provide technical support during outages and contribute to root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related fields
• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in backend engineering, NOC, or ISP operations.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking concepts, and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia equipment is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
