Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our FMCG operations.
• The ideal candidate should possess an OND qualification with 1–2 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a willingness to grow within the organization.
• The successful candidate will support daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Candidates must be available to commit to the role for a minimum of two (2) years.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial documents.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and petty cash transactions.
• Carry out routine reconciliation of bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
• Support the preparation of basic financial reports as required.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Assist with payroll support activities and statutory deductions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Provide support during audits by organizing relevant documents.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments on basic financial matters.

Qualifications and Requirements

• OND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG or similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Must be available to work for at least two (2) years.
