Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Jigawa
Work Mode: Full-time (On-site)

Job Summary

• The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment across the facility
• This includes ensuring power reliability, supporting automation/smart systems, overseeing repairs, and maintaining compliance with electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, controls, motors, pumps, and power systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure proper grounding, cabling, and load balancing across the electrical network.
• Maintain and update electrical schematics, diagrams, layouts, and equipment records.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
• Provide rapid response to power failures, breakdowns, and system malfunctions.
• Support production, greenhouse, hatchery, or farm operations with electrical troubleshooting and optimization.
• Implement and enforce electrical safety protocols as per Nigerian Electrical Regulations and NEC codes.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire prevention, and energy management standards.
• Conduct routine safety checks on electrical components and equipment.
• Support installation and maintenance of IoT-enabled equipment, sensors, climate-control systems, and automated machinery.
• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical components of smart farm systems (greenhouse automation, ventilation, feeding systems, etc.).

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• COREN or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• 5–8 years’ experience in industrial, agro-allied, greenhouse, manufacturing, or commercial electrical maintenance will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of electrical panels, motors, PLCs, generators, and automated control systems.
• Experience with smart/IoT equipment is an advantage.

Very attractive and commensurate with experience.
