Job Title: Head of Store

Locations: Gboko - Benue and Okpella Edo

Job Summary

  • The Dangote Cement Transport  is looking for a qualified and result-oriented professional to fill the position in  Gboko and Okpella,
  • He wiil be  responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain function, with a key focus on warehouse operations, inventory control, procurement coordination, and logistical efficiency.
  • He will play a strategic role in optimizing our storage systems, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the business in meeting its operational goals. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all store and logistics functions, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Manage and lead store and warehouse teams to ensure high performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess and improve performance across the supply chain.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy through regular audits.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales departments to align supply chain activities with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in all logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the stores and logistics function.

Education and Work Experience

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, CIPS, CILT, CSCP, CPIM  related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior logistics/stores management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, warehousing, and supply chain management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
