We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Yimei Nigeria Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and will ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of financial records, operational processes, and internal controls
  • Review revenue streams including room sales, POS transactions, and other hospitality-related income
  • Verify accuracy of financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting records
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify risks, control gaps, and areas for process improvement
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings with actionable recommendations
  • Follow up on audit issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Perform inventory audits (food & beverage, store, and other operational assets)
  • Evaluate fraud risks and support investigations where necessary
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in auditing, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit practices, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience with hotel systems/POS and revenue audit processes is an added advantage
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
