About the job

  • The Sales and Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying both old and new business opportunities, managing client relationships, achieving assigned sales targets, executing sales strategies, and supporting business development initiatives.
  • The role requires a proactive professional with strong negotiation skills, market insight, and the ability to convert prospects into long-term client.

Main Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with both existing and potential clients to ensure satisfaction and secure repeat business.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, negotiate contract and pricing terms, and ultimately close deals.
  • Strategy and Analysis: Collaborate with internal teams (like marketing) to develop effective sales plans, conduct market research and competitive analysis, and suggest improvements to sales strategies.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Use CRM software to track sales activities, manages pipelines, and prepares accurate reports and forecasts for management.
  • Mentorship (Optional): May assist in the training and development of more junior sales representatives.

Other Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across assigned markets.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in line with company objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with clients.

Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market presence.
  • Support the creation of new products, services, and revenue models.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on lead-generation campaigns.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by coordinating service delivery and addressing concerns.
  • Upsell and cross-sell Company services where applicable.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and CRM data.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and provide regular updates to management.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in sales meetings, strategy sessions, and training programs.
  • Mentor junior sales staff when required.

Requirements | Qualifications | Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • 3–5 years proven experience in sales or business development or client management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM software
  • Good understanding of sales processes and customer acquisition strategies
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in consulting, media, marketing, or a professional service is an advantage.
