We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager - SkillUp Academy (ICT Training Center)

Location: Amuwo Odofin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The Business Development Manager will drive business growth, increase student enrollment, and build strategic partnerships for SkillUp Academy.
  • This role is focused on revenue generation, market expansion, and positioning the academy as a leading ICT training institution.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase student enrollment and overall revenue.
  • Identify and explore new income streams (corporate training, online programs, certifications, etc.).
  • Set and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Partnership Development:

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with:
    • Corporate organizations (for staff ICT training).
    • Schools and universities.
    • Government bodies and NGOs.
  • Negotiate and close training contracts, sponsorships, and partnership deals.

Student Acquisition & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to drive lead generation campaigns (social media, events, referrals).
  • Convert leads into paying students.
  • Develop and execute outreach programs such as seminars, webinars, and tech bootcamps.

Market Research & Positioning:

  • Analyze trends in ICT training (e.g., Data Analysis, AI, Cybersecurity, Software Development).
  • Monitor competitors and pricing strategies.
  • Identify high-demand courses and recommend new program offerings.

Corporate Sales & B2B Training:

  • Pitch customized ICT training solutions to organizations
  • Manage client relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and tailored training packages

Brand Visibility & Events:

  • Represent the academy at tech events, career fairs, and industry conferences
  • Organize workshops and free training sessions to attract prospective students

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Track key performance indicators such as enrollment numbers, conversion rates, and revenue growth
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, ICT, or a related field
  • 3–7 years’ experience in business development, preferably within:
    • Education
    • ICT training
    • EdTech
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
