Job Title: Pool Attendant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Pool Attendant with lifeguard certification to maintain our swimming pool, enforce safety protocols, and provide top-notch customer service.
• You'll actively supervise swimmers while handling maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively lifeguard during operating hours: monitor swimmers, enforce rules, perform rescues if needed, and provide first aid/CPR.
• Perform routine cleaning: skim debris, vacuum pool, scrub tiles, and keep decks spotless.
• Test and balance pool water chemistry daily (pH, chlorine); apply chemicals safely per guidelines.
• Inspect/maintain equipment (pumps, filters, ladders) and report issues.
• Assist guests with amenities and inquiries; ensure a welcoming environment.
• Secure the facility at closing, including gates and covers.

Requirements

• Valid lifeguard certification (e.g., from Red Cross, NLS, or equivalent) plus CPR/First Aid certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in pool maintenance, lifeguarding, or hospitality.
• Physically fit (lift 20kg+), strong swimmer, able to stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Available for shifts including weekends/evenings.
