Job Title: Human Resource Manager
Location: Lagos (with oversight of Warri, Port Harcourt operations)
About the Role
- Our client, a leading oil and gas servicing company, is seeking an experienced, strategic and highly competent Human Resources Manager to oversee day to day HR operations and drive effective people management across multiple locations.
- The ideal candidate will lead HR service delivery, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- The role will also support the implementation of HR strategy and maintain compliance with organisational policies and labour regulations.
Key Responsibilties
HR Operations & Service Delivery:
- Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services including onboarding, documentation, HR administration, and employee support
- Maintain smooth HR processes across Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Support:
- Coordinate end to end recruitment processes and workforce planning activities
- Ensure timely hiring of qualified talent and seamless onboarding.
Performance Management Implementation:
- Support the timely implementation of performance management systems
- Drive timely goal setting, appraisal cycles, and performance improvement plans across departments.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Manage employee relations issues and support grievance resolution.
- Promote a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
HR Policy Implementation & Compliance:
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with labour laws, internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
HR Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data
- Generate HR reports to support decision-making and workforce planning.
Key Performance Indicators, KPIs
Talent Acquisition:
- Time-to-fill roles within agreed SLA
- Quality of hire and onboarding completion rate ≥ 95%
Performance Management:
- 100% completion of performance appraisals
- Timely implementation of performance improvement plans
Employee Relations:
- Reduction in grievance resolution time
- Low escalation rate of employee disputes.
HR Operations Efficiency:
- 100% accuracy in employee records and documentation
- Timely delivery of HR services and reporting.
Compliance:
- Zero labour law violations
- ≥ 95% adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement:
- Improved employee satisfaction and engagement indicators.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related fields
- Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, or in view) advantage.
Work Experience:
- 6 - 10 years progressive HR experience
- Minimum 2–4 years in a supervisory or HR generalist role.
Proven experience in:
- HR operations and service delivery,
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Employee relations and performance management
- HR systems, reporting and data management
- Policy implementation and compliance.
