Job Title: Production Manager - Cassava / Starch Processing

Location: Shagamu, Ogun

Job Summary

• Starco Industries Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee cassava processing operations.
• The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience in agro-processing and will be responsible for managing production activities, ensuring efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing output.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily cassava processing operations
• Ensure efficient conversion of raw cassava into finished products (e.g., starch.)
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality, consistency, and minimal waste
• Manage production staff, assign duties, and ensure optimal performance
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards
• Oversee maintenance and proper functioning of processing equipment
• Monitor raw material supply and coordinate with procurement/logistics teams
• Track production output, costs, and efficiency metrics
• Prepare reports on production performance and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) in Food Science, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum of 5–8 years proven experience in cassava processing or agro-processing operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of cassava processing techniques and equipment
• Experience managing production lines and factory operations
• Good understanding of quality control, food safety, and hygiene standards
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in starch, flour, or related agro-processing industries
• Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP) or production management
• Familiarity with NAFDAC and other regulatory requirements
• Experience with process optimization and cost control.
