Job Title: Accounts Officer

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and experienced Accountant to join our finance team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.
  • This role requires a candidate with strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple financial processes.
  • The successful applicant will play an important role in budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow.
  • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and expenditure reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor financial transactions and recommend improvements for efficiency.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all financial records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 2–4 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Good understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
