Job Title: School Driver

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible, safety-conscious, and experienced Driver to join our team at a highly reputable Nursery & Primary School in Abeokuta.
• The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of pupils and staff while maintaining the school vehicle in excellent condition.

Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery Execution:

• Safely transport goods, personnel, and materials to designated locations within agreed timelines.
• Execute assigned delivery schedules in line with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of last-mile delivery operations.

Route Planning & Operational Efficiency:

• Plan and optimize delivery routes using GPS and logistics systems to minimize delays and fuel consumption.
• Monitor traffic and road conditions, proactively adjusting routes where necessary.
• Provide real-time updates on delivery status and potential disruptions.

Fleet Management & Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with company standards.
• Track mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies.
• Practice defensive driving to minimize accidents and operational risks.
• Maintain accurate logs including trip records, fuel reports, and incident documentation.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, or breakdowns in line with company protocols.

Cargo Handling & Security:

• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Verify shipment details against documentation before and after delivery.
• Maintain custody and security of goods throughout transit.
• Obtain proof of delivery (POD) and ensure proper documentation.

Customer Experience & Brand Representation:

• Serve as a professional representative of CITIspeed Logistics in all customer interactions.
• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
• Address client concerns courteously and escalate issues where necessary.

Technology & Reporting:

• Utilize logistics software, GPS systems, and mobile applications for tracking and reporting.
• Submit accurate and timely reports on trips, deliveries, and operational activities.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Cost Control & Resource Management:

• Drive efficiently to support fuel conservation and cost reduction initiatives.
• Prevent misuse of company vehicles and resources.
• Contribute to minimizing operational downtime and maintenance costs.

Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in training programs related to safety, logistics, and customer service.
• Provide feedback to improve delivery processes and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry best practices.

• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
• Demonstrate integrity, discipline, and accountability at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / High School Diploma (OND is an added advantage).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ professional driving experience
• Good knowledge of road networks and traffic regulations.
• Ability to operate GPS and mobile logistics applications.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.

Salary
N60,000 / month.
