Job Title: Sheet-Fed Press Operator

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Department: Production / Printing
Reports To: Press Supervisor / Production Manager

Job Summary

• The Sheet-Fed Press Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of sheet-fed offset printing machines to ensure high-quality print output.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard machines such as Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102, SM 74, and SM 102, and a strong eye for detail in print quality and color accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet-fed offset printing machines efficiently
• Adjust press settings including ink levels, paper alignment, and color registration
• Monitor print runs to ensure consistency and high-quality output
• Load paper and oversee smooth machine operation
• Conduct routine quality checks on printed materials
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or print-related issues during production
• Perform regular cleaning and preventive maintenance on machines
• Maintain accurate production and job records
• Ensure jobs are completed within deadlines
• Adhere to all safety standards and production procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate or technical certification in Printing Technology
• Proven experience operating sheet-fed printing presses (e.g., Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102, SM 74, SM 102)
• Strong understanding of offset printing processes and color management
• Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
