Job Title: Maintenance Lead
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of equipment and facilities.
- The role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing downtime, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting operational continuity within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans
- Schedule and supervise daily maintenance activities
- Ensure timely repair and servicing of all equipment and machinery
- Minimize equipment downtime and optimize asset performance
Equipment Reliability & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues
- Ensure proper maintenance of rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.)
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies
Asset & Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment history and maintenance activities
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components
- Coordinate procurement of maintenance materials and tools
- Optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
Safety & Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies
- Enforce safe work practices and use of PPE among team members
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company procedures
- Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report maintenance KPIs
- Prepare maintenance reports and documentation
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
- 7–10 years of experience in maintenance within the oil & gas or EPIC industry
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
