Job Title: Stitch Master Operator

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Stitch Master Operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining stitching machines used in the binding and finishing of printed materials.
• The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure all finished products meet quality standards and production deadlines. Experience with Heidelberg Stitchmaster saddle stitching systems is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stitching machines in line with job specifications
• Adjust machine settings such as stitch position, trim size, and speed
• Load stitching wire/staples and monitor machine performance during production
• Ensure accurate gathering and stitching of printed sheets
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Troubleshoot machine faults such as paper jams, misfeeds, and alignment issues
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of stitching machines
• Maintain accurate production records and meet output targets
• Adhere to company safety and production standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate or Technical/Vocational training in Printing Technology
• Proven experience in a printing press finishing department
• Experience operating stitching machines (e.g., Heidelberg Stitchmaster) is an advantage
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Working Conditions:

• Industrial printing press environment
• Exposure to noise and heavy machinery
