Job Summary

• The Survey Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating land surveying and GIS projects from planning through execution.
• This role requires a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in land surveying and geospatial projects, combined with strong leadership abilities and a high level of technological proficiency.
• The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards while leading field and office teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise survey teams in the execution of land surveying and GIS projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage field survey operations, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Review and validate survey data, drawings, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize modern surveying equipment and geospatial technologies (e.g., GPS, Total Stations, drones, GIS software).
• Oversee data processing, mapping, and spatial analysis using GIS tools.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior surveyors and GIS staff.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
• Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and presentations.
• Monitor project budgets, resources, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in land surveying and GIS projects.
• Proven experience in supervising or leading survey teams.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and survey data processing tools.
• Strong knowledge of modern surveying equipment and technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of technological savviness and adaptability to new tools and systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
