Job Title: Web Press Operator
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
- You will be responsible for operating and maintaining web printing machines used for high-volume commercial printing (newspapers, magazines, catalogs), ensuring efficiency and top-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate web offset printing machines
- Monitor print quality (color registration, ink density, paper alignment)
- Adjust machine settings to meet job specifications
- Load paper rolls and ensure smooth press operation
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Troubleshoot mechanical or printing issues
- Maintain production records and report faults
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE or Technical / Vocational training in Printing Technology or related field
- Proven experience with web press machines (City Line, Goss Community, Eco line, etc.)
- Good understanding of web offset printing processes
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
