BTHDC is an ultra-modern Diagnostic Center facility which provides Radiology and laboratory services at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos.

BTHDC is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between PPC Limited and Lagos State Government. PPC Limited is affiliated with Philips Medical System (PMS), a global leader in providing clinical management and diagnostic technology, and has been successful in transferring the latest technology to the healthcare industry in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nursing Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Educate patients on diagnostic procedure, including what to expect, duration, and any preparation required
• Register patient at the nursing station, inquire about allergies, and previous medical history relevant to imaging procedures.
• Obtain informed consent for procedures involving contrast infusion or sedation.
• Monitor and record vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer intravenous contrast under the guidance of the radiologist.
• Recognize and respond to contrast reactions or emergencies
• Initiate appropriate actions in the event of adverse reactions or patient distress.
• Coordinate with the anesthesia team for patients requiring sedation, including pre-sedation checklist and recovery monitoring.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient procedures, consent forms, vital signs, and contrast administration.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory policies regarding sedation, contrast infusion, and patient monitoring.
