Job Title: Sectional Head, Rawmill
Location: Okpella Plant, Edo
Job Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated Sectional Head, Rawmill, who will lead the rawmill segment within the mechanical department and be responsible for the efficient production and processing of raw materials required for cement manufacturing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Design and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for rawmill equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and grinding mills.
- Monitor rawmill performance metrics and adjust operational parameters to achieve consistent quality and production targets.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with plant safety policies, environmental regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis of breakdowns and initiate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve material-related issues and optimize raw mix composition.
- Prepare monthly reports on equipment condition, maintenance activities, and production output for management review.
- Train new and existing staff on safety procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Mechanical.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in cement plant operations, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory role within the raw mill section.
