We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitter

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Purpose

  • To carry out routine and corrective mechanical maintenance on factory equipment in line with instructions and specifications, ensuring reliable operations and minimal downtime across the production facility.

The Job

  • Repair faulty or damaged components of production, packaging, warehouse, and raw material silo equipment.
  • Minimize machine downtime through timely response to maintenance issues.
  • Carry out all maintenance activities strictly in line with approved checklists and machine drawings.
  • Report all malfunctions, defects, or damaged items promptly to the supervising officer.
  • Maintain accurate records of job completion time, spare parts replaced, and observations for future planning.
  • Conduct why‑why analysis on recurring equipment problems and troubleshoot issues to support effective maintenance.
  • Actively participate in achieving assigned KPIs and departmental objectives.

Qualification

  • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

The Person Must:

  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess good practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
  • Be safety‑conscious and disciplined in following maintenance procedures and instructions.
  • Have strong attention to detail and ability to work with machine drawings and checklists.
  • Be able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and support continuous improvement.
  • Be reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
  • Demonstrate good record‑keeping and reporting skills.
