Job Title: SEO Officer 1 – Lead (Strategic)
Location: Lagos (Remote / Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-time (May be contract)
Role Summary
- The SEO Officer leads the Digital Team.
- Grow organic search traffic and optimise content for revenue maximisation.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Perform keyword research to find high‑CPM (e.g., “injury report”, “playoff schedule”) and high‑affiliate (e.g., “moneyline predictions”) terms.
- Build a monthly content calendar for the Editorial Team based on search volume and revenue potential.
- Track rankings in SEMrush/Ahrefs and adjust strategy weekly.
- Train writers on SEO basics (headings, internal links, keyword density).
- Coordinate with Affiliate Manager to identify search‑driven betting opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years SEO experience, ideally with news or affiliate sites.
- Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar and with Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights.
