Job Title: HMV Mechanic

Location: Elele, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

• A foremost Indegenious Oil & Gas exploration organization requires the services of qualified HMVMechanics/Technicians to strengthen its operations and uphold service excellence.
• The ideal candidates would be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy movingvehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and complianceand regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair:

• Diagnose mechanical faults in heavy motor vehicles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Repair or replace faulty engines, gearboxes, axles, suspension systems, and braking systems
• Carry out engine overhauls and major mechanical repairs when required

Preventive Maintenance;

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on HMVs
• Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
• Ensure vehicles are maintained according to maintenance schedules

Systems Maintenance:
Maintain and repair:

• Diesel engines and fuel systems
• Transmission and clutch systems
• Steering and suspension systems
• Air and hydraulic braking systems
• Cooling and lubrication systems

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all repair work complies with safety standards and roadworthiness regulations
• workshop safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions.

Requirements

• Academic Qualification: SSCE, Trade Test- I, II, III
• Experience: Minimum of 8years’ experience in the same role. Prior experience working in an automobile company is an added advantage.
• Age Bracket: 25– 48years.
