Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to accurately translate written and spoken content between Chinese and English. The ideal candidate will ensure that the meaning, tone, and context of the original message are preserved.

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chinese Translator based in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating both written and verbal communication between Chinese and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written and verbal communication accurately between Chinese and English
• Review and proofread translated content for accuracy and clarity
• Ensure cultural and linguistic appropriateness of all translations
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective communication
• Assist in the development of multilingual content
• Provide support in cross-cultural communication within the organization

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English
• Strong grammar, communication, and linguistic skills
• Experience in translation, proofreading, and editing
• Strong cultural understanding for context-sensitive translations
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Familiarity with translation tools/software is an added advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Language Studies, or a related field (preferred)
• HSK certification or equivalent

Working Conditions:

• Full-time role
• Flexible hours may be required for meetings or urgent translation task.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 / Month
