BuildGen Nigeria Limited, a steel manufacturing company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitter

Location: Ota, Ogun

Job Summary

• The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery within the factory.
• The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical components and machinery
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely
• Replace defective parts and ensure proper alignment of components
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• OND / HND or Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Proven experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Attention to detail and precision
• Problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
