Job Title: Land Surveyor

Location: Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

• The Land Surveyor will be responsible for accurately measuring and determining land boundaries, as well as providing critical data on land features such as shape, contour, elevation, and dimensions.
• This role supports engineering, construction, and mapping activities and requires hands-on experience with modern surveying instruments and geospatial technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
• Conduct physical site and ground surveys using appropriate equipment to establish baselines, elevations, and geodetic measurements.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.
• Establish legal property boundaries based on land titles and deeds.
• Record and document survey results, including terrain features and dimensions.
• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, and property lines.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Determine longitudes and latitudes using GPS, theodolites, and other surveying tools.
• Apply knowledge of photogrammetry and electronic data processing in mapping activities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Required Competencies:

• Proficiency in the use of GPS, GIS, and Total Station equipment
• Strong knowledge of CAD software
• Good understanding of mapping and spatial analysis
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional, service-oriented attitude
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to digital tools.
