Job Description
- The Electric Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution equipment and infrastructure within the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) network.
- This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the electrical distribution system by performing hands-on tasks, troubleshooting faults, and supporting the maintenance team.
- The Electric Fitter will work under the supervision of a manager or supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
- Certification or vocational training in electrical fitting or a related trade is an added advantage.
- 3-5 years post NYSC of hands-on experience in electrical fitting, preferably in the power distribution industry.
- Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical distribution systems.
- Strong technical skills in electrical fitting and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, equipment, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
