We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Travel Agent

Location: Lagos 

Core Functions

  • Comprehensive Travel Organisation: Organize end-to-end travel arrangements, including booking tickets, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Information Dissemination: Provide travellers with comprehensive and relevant information about destinations, schedules, and travel packages.
  • Promote sales & profit goals: Promote travel packages using effective sales techniques and prepare promotional materials.

Functions

  • Thorough Research: a. Conduct in-depth research on destinations, travel prices, customs, weather conditions, and reviews. b. Stay informed about the latest travel trends and emerging destinations.
  • Client-Specific Understanding: a. Determine clients' travel preferences, interests, and specific requirements. b. Suggest and tailor suitable travel packages that align with clients' preferences and expectations.
  • Booking and Payments: a. Facilitate the booking of transportation and accommodations. b. Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records related to clients' travel transactions.
  • Innovative Package Development: a. Contribute ideas and collaborate with clients to formulate new and enticing travel packages and schedules. b. Ensure meticulous planning of travel itineraries to optimize client experiences.
  • Client Interaction: a. Assist and advise clients on travel information, helping them choose the best travel plans according to their needs. b. Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve travel-related problems, complaints, or refund requests promptly and effectively.
  • Networking and Record-Keeping: a. Maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders & clients. b. Keep meticulous statistical and financial records.
  • Achieving Targets: Work towards meeting and exceeding profit and sales targets.
  • Adaptive Travel Support: If necessary, travel alongside clients to provide on-the-go assistance, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience.

Requirements

  • BA Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or similar relevant field
  • 2 years of experience as a Travel Assistant or similar roles
  • Knowledgeable about travel, tourism, offers & its trends
  • Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
  • Good sales and presentation skills
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
