Job Title: Solar Technician

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

About the role

  • We are looking for a skilled Solar Technician to join our growing team.
  • You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines technical expertise with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission solar PV panels, inverters, mounting structures, and associated electrical components
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on existing solar systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in solar panels, wiring, inverters, and battery storage units
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate structural integrity, shading, and system placement
  • Complete accurate job documentation, work reports, and handover checklists
  • Liaise with clients professionally and provide basic user training on system operation
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technicians on large-scale installations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation
  • Valid electrician licence or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Familiarity with grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid solar systems
  • Experience with battery storage systems (e.g., lithium-ion) is an advantage.

Work mode:

  • Mondays - Saturdays (9AM - 5PM).

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 / month.
