Job Title: Merchandise Admin Assistant

Job Profile

  • A detail-oriented Merchandise Admin Assistant who will support the Merchandise Planning team with reporting, data management, and inventory analysis to drive accurate business decisions.
  • S/he will be responsible for tracking sell-through performance across products, channels, and stores, as well as providing reliable and timely reports to support planning activities.
  • The role also involves handling repetitive and ad hoc tasks while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all data-related outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, validation, and timely delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly merchandise reports, ensuring a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
  • Track and analyse sell-through performance across products, channels, and store locations, identifying key trends, variances, and performance drivers to support decision-making.
  • Assist in inventory analysis by monitoring stock levels, identifying gaps, excess stock, and potential risks, and highlighting opportunities for optimisation.
  • Support the execution of sales and marketing campaigns by ensuring product availability, tracking performance, and providing post campaign insights.
  • Coordinate merchandise allocations and inter-store transfers, ensuring stock is distributed efficiently based on store performance, demand patterns, and capacity.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy and consistency of data across all reporting systems, tools, and records, ensuring alignment between planning, inventory, and sales data.
  • Monitor and track store capacity and inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock positioning across all locations.
  • Update dashboards, reports, and planning templates with accurate and timely data to support ongoing analysis and business decisions.
  • Provide administrative and data-related support to the Buying & Merchandise Planning team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to planning timelines.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by the Lead Merchandise Planner or Lead Buyer, supporting deeper insights into product and store performance.
  • Maintain well-organised, up-to-date records of inventory, sales, and performance data to enable efficient retrieval and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and data quality, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the planning function.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a data, retail, merchandising, or administrative role (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data handling tools
  • Strong interest in retail, merchandising, and performance analysis • Basic understanding of inventory and retail performance metrics.

Skill Specification:

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with solid Excel proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment with repetitive tasks
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative with strong problem-solving ability.
