Job Title: Corporate Trainer

About the Role
- The Corporate Trainer will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering training programmes that improve employee productivity, technical competence, customer service standards, leadership capability, and overall organisational performance across multiple business divisions including Power Backup, Power Distribution, Consumer Products, and Mobility/Automotive Batteries.
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on learning and development professional capable of identifying skill gaps, developing practical training solutions, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
What You Will Be Doing
Training Needs Assessment:
- Conduct training needs analysis across branches and departments
- Identify technical, behavioural, and leadership skill gaps
- Recommend annual learning priorities
- Align training plans with company objectives
Learning Programme Design:
- Create induction programmes for new hires
- Design sales and customer service training modules
- Develop technical product knowledge training
- Create leadership and supervisory development programmes
- Prepare training manuals, guides, and presentations
Training Delivery & Facilitation:
- Facilitate classroom and online training sessions
- Deliver practical workshops and role-play sessions
- Train staff on SOPs, compliance, and workplace standards
- Coordinate external facilitators where required
- Ensure consistent learning experience across locations
Sales & Product Training:
- Train sales teams on negotiation and closing techniques
- Deliver product knowledge sessions on inverters, batteries, switchgear, and appliances
- Educate dealers and distributors where required
- Improve frontline customer engagement skills
Performance Improvement:
- Address recurring performance gaps through coaching
- Support departmental improvement plans
- Track post-training performance changes
- Drive accountability and learning culture
Learning Technology & Content Development:
- Develop e-learning materials and video training content
- Use digital platforms for assessments and feedback
- Maintain training records and learning databases
- Leverage AI tools for content development and learning support
Training Evaluation & Reporting:
- Monitor attendance and completion rates
- Evaluate knowledge retention through tests and assessments
- Measure productivity improvements after training
- Submit monthly training effectiveness reports
- Link training outcomes to business performance
Culture & Employee Development:
- Encourage continuous professional development
- Support succession planning initiatives
- Coach supervisors and team leads
- Drive professionalism, teamwork, and ethics awareness
Key Performance Indicators
- Training completion rate
- Improvement in employee productivity
- Sales team capability enhancement
- Reduction in repeated operational errors
- Employee engagement in learning programmes

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or related field
- 5–8 years experience in corporate training, learning & development, HR training, or organisational development
- Industry exposure in Power/Energy, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Technical Services, or Sales-Driven Organisations preferred
- Strong experience in corporate training & facilitation, learning needs analysis, presentation & public speaking, leadership coaching, technical training delivery, sales training, e-learning development, performance management support, and training analytics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
- Professional certifications in Training, HR, or Learning & Development are an advantage
Salary
₦350,000 – ₦450,000 monthly.
