Job Title: Fixed Assets Control & Disposal Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Asset Verification / Disposal Officer will be responsible for managing and updating the fixed asset register, conducting physical verification of assets across locations, and ensuring proper documentation and control of all company assets.
• The role will also involve coordinating the disposal of obsolete or damaged assets in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register
• Conduct physical verification of assets across all locations
• Reconcile physical assets with records and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure proper tagging and tracking of all company assets
• Document asset movements, transfers, and disposals
• Coordinate disposal of obsolete or damaged assets
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Prepare periodic reports on asset status and utilization
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams on asset control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in fixed asset management or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of asset tracking, reconciliation, and lifecycle management demonstrated
• Experience with ERP or asset management systems considered an advantage
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy maintained
• Strong organizational and reporting skills demonstrated
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month.
